Duran Duran in Buenos Aires!
I should be working right now, but excitement is growing higher. Sony BMG has volunteered the flight and hotel info for the Duran Duran arrival and stay in Buenos Aires. I can still hardly believe that a record company would do that! But they did. Some of us are getting together this afternoon to go and greet (hopefully) the band at their hotel. Welcoming them at the airport would have been a safer bet, according to Sony, since they specifically stated that the band is looking forward to meeting their fans at the airport and will devote some quality time to greet everybody. However, going to the airport has two major drawbacks:
a) It's far away, and without a car, the bus trip takes ages.
b) Pilot and technicians stirke that's been going on for over 8 days causing mayhem at all airports.
That's why I went for the hotel option which, even though it's not certain, it's safer for me. Yet, if Sony volunteered the hotel info, it's cuz they expect us to show up there. So I'm pretty confident that we'll get to meet the band today. YAY!a) It's far away, and without a car, the bus trip takes ages.
b) Pilot and technicians stirke that's been going on for over 8 days causing mayhem at all airports.
